I don't know any sites, but I do have a book (Fishing in Southern California) That has maps of all the lakes, piers, jetties, harbors, etc... in Southern California. It even shows you what fish bite in what area. It's a cool book. Anyway, I can scan it and send it to you but I'd have to send it straight to your e-mail. So you'd have to send me a private message on here with your e-mail address. Or you can just post it here for the whole forum to see, doesn't matter. :P

I think that a better saltwater book that seems to have the same maps as the Albert book is Saltwater Fishing in California by Kovach (same publisher). Also see the book Saltwater Angler's Guide to Southern California by Jeff Spira. For verbal descriptions of many fresh and saltwater spots see California Fishing by Tom Stienstra.

All of these books have shortcomings if you read a topic in which you are expert, but they are OK for general knowledge about areas with which you are not very familiar.

Many tackle shops sell the freshwater and saltwater maps by Fisn-n-Map Co.

Regularly view this website and you can develop your own list of hotspots.

I take that back, I just tried scanning it for you right now and my scanner just does not wanna work. I'll keep tryin though. If I can't get it to ya and you're really interested, there's these books written by Ken Albert. There's a bunch of series of em, but the one i have is fishing in southern california. It shows you fishin spots, techniques, lakes, everything pretty much. It has maps in there of every county from santa barbara down to san diego. And even shows the local fishies from every pier, jettie and shore. Pretty cool nifty book. You can get it at wal mart and k mart for like 10 bucks.

What you really need is Mark Wisch's "Fishing Hotspot Map". You can pick one up at most any local tackle store or go to his shop (Pacific Edge) in Huntington Beach.

I've scoured the internet looking and you just can't beat the real thing. I would recommend checking out Mark Wisch's map. It's the best I've seen for local fishing spots.
