Today Terry A. emailed me another picture with his Halibut he caught. Wow, a 39"er caught from shore in Belmont Shore, Long Beach Ca. using live Smelts. He also caught a 27"er to go with this monster.

Pictures are posted!

Nice fish! But, I think its weight is grossly underestimated. That fish for sure weighs more than 22.8lb! By the way, what's up with that ugly coloration. Either the pic is distorted somewhat or that fish has lived in some nasty water.

That was caught from shore? Any specifics on the gear he was using, and about how far out is he throwing those smelt? Must need a lot of line capacity to handle one that big when your standing on the beach, no?

** tight lines make all my troubles go away **

It's really easy to be honest with you. He uses 12lb. test with 1/8 oz. weight. He has a page on my site and tells how to do it.

He went out today and caught a 40", 28lb. Halibut along with a 26"er. His buddy Nick caught a nice Leapord Shark.

Pictures are posted.
