Hi everyone, Im thinking about booking a spot on a party boat either weds for salmon, or thurs for halibut. Ive never fished for salmon before so Im wondering what kinda set-up should I use? Test line? Size hook? Presentation? Artificals? Is it true that hooks frequently rip out of their mouths durning a fight?
Halibut I have a lot more experience with but Ive never targeted them from a boat. Ive only caught them from the surf. Should I drift bait on a swivel and sliding egg-sinker rig, or throw swim-baits? What size and color swim bait? What pound test line?
