Hi I was thinking on getting the new Shimano Teramar-West Coast Series (8ft,Heavy) and using it both as inshore salwater and also throwing large swimbaits for bass. Do you guys think this is a good rod for both applications or should I look elsewhere? By the way the reel is a Shimano Corvalus with 15lb PLine.

I think you'd be better off with a new Shimano Crucial 7'11". A much better rod IMO.
