I just received two new swimbaits. I won't reveal the name as I think my question applies to any and all of them.
All plastics have an odor. I noticed it when inspecting my new baits. The soft-plastics seem to have an even stronger odor than the hard baits. Shoulld I be concerned as to having a Bass turn away from this odor? I would think they would? What do y'all do about it or have you just ignored the odor?
I'm a big fan and user of GYCB's soft-plastics. I also use their attractant. It's a 'creame' type and I just squeeze a 'glob' or two in the bait's baggie and let them 'marinate'. Lately, I've been rubbing on some Megastrike(grease-like) attractant too.

i noticed a smell on the Castaic soft trout i bought but it seems as though it wouldnt spread quite as badly underwater...but it wouldnt hurt to cover it with a bit of scent...do you know any good trout scents?
