Do they really make a difference? Are they a help or a hinderance?

I only ask because of the 3 fish I have caught on the Triple Trout two of them managed to get the line wrapped multiple times around the hooks.

Has anyone else had that happen to them yet? Am I fighting these fish wrong?

I wish all the baits came with the 22nd Century style hook hangers. I have seriously not have a fish come unbuttoned with a 22nd Century bait. I can't say the same for any other bait with the traditional screw eye style hook hangers.

I’ve never had that happen…..don’t play the fish once it’s on.
I fish no drag and don’t stop reeling until they are in the boat.

Guess I should have clarified. One was a 12-14lb striper and the other was about a 2 pound trout that after a few attempts got a treble in the side.

Stripers are a little harder to just crank in.

Yeah they are harder to just reel in but I still fish with almost no drag. I don't want them to roll and gill plate me. You would be amazed at how strong 20 and 25 pound P-Line is don't be afraid to pull hard..

Of course if I think it's a big fish and it's gonna break me off I'll back off the drag a little but not much.
