march 19:

i embarked on my first trip of the season yesterday because the weather finally started to warm up! well i picked up a couple small bass on a plstic worm, i was throwing the 9' ms slammer and nothing was biting/ no follows.
i worked my way around the pond and was fishing the plastic worm about a foot off of shore by some trees/ debri and wham!!!!! got smashed by a 5 pounder (which is considered a trophy northern strian in MD) good fight , and quickly got it to shore without getting snapped off in the trees.

well thats the fish to beat for my family this year, but hopefully i'll beat that when i go fishing later today!!!!!!

last year was my first ever on a swimbait and it was a good one for around here 5 1/2 lbs

i can wait to bag one on the 9 inch ms slammer, i only have 3 fish on that bait!!!!!

but they were all 3+
