#6007, "Females trying to spawn, then rain starts...?"

I was fishing a local lake today and in a small stretch of shoreline, I noticed 4 pairs of fish trying to spawn (but they kept getting interrupted by shorefisherman). It just started raining, and the rain is expected to continue through tonight and tomorrow. I am wondering how the rain will affect these fish. Will it push them out of spawning mode so that they may start eating again? or will they still be looking to spawn as soon as possible. I was thinking of going out and throwing some swimbaits in the area tonight, in the rain, in hopes of getting some of those females. Does that sound like a good way to get them, or should I just wait for more sun. Any advice on how the rain fish will react to the rain and the best way to get the females would be greatly appreciated. I'll be sure and post some pics if i'm able to get them tonight.

thanks,
nate

If the rain continues for a longer period of time and the air temp drops during the storm the water tmp could drop. If the water temp drops too far the Bass will stop their spawning behavior, and in certain cases will even abandon beds.

Hope this was some help.
