Went back to the swamp pond today after it got a little rain last night. Cloudy but sunny, no wind, high 80's and clear water. No "Trophy Bass" here but thoughht you might want to see the baits.

I decided to try something a 'little' different; I tied on a Yellow Bass that I had gotten from Matt. It's a different color scheme but the same body/action as his Baby Bass.

Started pitchin' it and pulled a 2 lb even right off of a stump. These baits work at close-in pitchin'. The next one was a 3.2 lber and I had caught her before. Got her out of a 3' square opening near a shoreline. Then came a 1.7 lber; all on that one Yellow Bass bait.

I then changed over to Matt's Striper Bass. Btw, I rub Megastrike all over these baits and it must work because I had gotten a drop of gasoline on my right thumb just before I got to the pond.

I was in the same area where I caught a 5 lber a week or two ago when a 5.5 lber grabbed the little Striper. That was one of the hardest fighting 5.5 lbers I can remember catchin'. She managed to get into the same laydown the other 5 lber picked and I thought I was going to lose her. She got me wrapped around an underwater limb but the fluro and the bait's hook held and I managed to land her.

The last one today was a 2.5 lber. I pitched into 3' of water; saw her rush out at the bait, felt her 'tic' it and then she grabbed it for good. Started fishing at 10:30 AM and quit at 3 PM.

It seem's that L/M Bass will eat just about anything. The pics are in the order that I caught them.
