#9664, "which Okuma for hudds and bbzs"


          

Hey guys, which Okuma rod i should get for throwing the huddlestons deluxe 8 in. and the spro bbz, i was thinking about GS-761H or GS-761H Swimbait Rod , just not sure which action to pick. both lures weight about the same i think abuot 4 oz. ( as i was told)

anyhelp would be greatly approciated thanks

Thanks for the question and welcome to Calfishing. There are a couple rods that will work for you. The GS-C-761H is probably the best "all around" swimbait rod I developed. It has a slightly softer tip than the GS-C-7111XH and a softer bend but both of these options in my opinion are the best for you. The GS-C-7111H is a good rod for the BBZ (and other baits with hanging trebles) but in my opinion isn't the best for the Huddlestons. The GS-C-761XH is too much rod for the BBZ.

I would suggest the GS-C-761H first and the 7111XH second.

regardless... I think you will be happy with whichever one you decide on.

The Hudd is less then the BBZ in weight. I would go with the 7'11" XH GS. :)
