Wow, that was fast Mitch. Congrats to Taylor on the win and only limit and Robert on a huge fish. I lost one last week that size ;( Too bad more fish weren't caught. I here that lake can be tough. It still looked like a nice day on the water. I had to stay home due to other obligations. Only one tournament before Clear Lake

LOL! Ya, I got my bass kicked again by Banos, fifteen ft visibility makes it real tuff, my biggest mistake was leaving my spinning rod at home x(

Thanks guys and congrats to Baby Linden on his big fish it sure was nice to see one of those caught instead of just cruisin.

The day started off a little slow for me. I rowed straight across from the camp sites and fished for about an hour and a half without being touched. Than I came to a steep deep wall where I caught 2 fish flipin a senko into the shore. I had gotten snagged onto a tree so I had to go get the bait and thats when I saw fish cruisin and there was a bunch of them. I left that spot and continued to fish this steep wall without getting SUCKED into trying to catch bed fish or cruises. That was the key for me was not to try to sight fish.

So I went back to where I saw all the cruisers and I ended up catching 10 keepers for the day. Most of the my other fish were caught out deeper on a beaver or shakeyhead.All my fish and all my time were spent just fishin and not trying to sight fish.

I made my way to the creek first thing in the morning. Spent the majority of my day kicking around looking for locked on fish. Ended up finding the 8 about 100 yards from the creek mouth around 1:15, after i spooked it the first cast and it actually circled around and came back i knew it was locked on and catchable. Spent the next 30mins just flipping my bait in her path as it made its circles one sharp pop in its face made it react. 6lb. test 3 min fight gotta love it! My other fish was the only other fish that was willing to bite, all the other fish i saw were too spooky to do any thing with.

Whites slough in april is gonna be a pig fest :9 .... See you there!

Congrats Taylor, Rob and Mitch. Sounds like a fairly tough bite, but as always someone figuers them out.

Man, I tried to make it there before you all left but as soon as I turned onto volta rd I saw a lot of you at the stop sign with your float tubes in your trucks. Saw more leaving on my way to the lake...which was packed. I havn't seen it like that in a while. I tried making it on time but work was busy when I was supposed to leave and they needed the hand. Oh well, nice fish fellas and good job. I finally caught my first ddam bass today on a drop shot. Out of curiosity, any one fish the dam and have any luck? I usually just float tube the big cove but have considered trying the dam but my shore fishing there hasnt produced. Good luck on the next one guys.
