Aren't those tungsten nail (senko) weights you are referring to?
I was always baffled by tungsten drop shot weights, i'll bubba shot with em w/20lb(skinnier and goes through crap better), but they are tied on. Drop shot with a trokar and a tungsten weight and ur out 5 bucks everytime you break off......

Nate a dropshot is a drop shot and a nail weight is a nail weight. It's really hard to confuse the two. They are talking bout dropshot. Either way ur right its way to expensive to use a tungsten on either.

theres a difference? really? crazy....but when you look at the japanese technique of down shotting or neko rig which is the insertion of a drop shot-like weight clipped into the head of the bait where a normal nail weight would go, wacky rigged. so there would be times a drop shot weight and nail weight are basically the same thing, being used the EXACT same way....
