Binh,

I am leaving Friday and already have a full trailer. I know there are some guys from the SJ area going down and probably some on Sat. morning too.

For anyone going in the morning on Saturday plan on gettin there early. There are 2 other small club boat tournies on Saturday also and they do a mussel inspection at the gate at Naci.
I hear they are opening early and will have a couple people for inspections, but it could still take a while to get in.

We want to blast off at safe light which is around 6:15 next weekend.

In past inspections they were pretty much a quick pass through with kick boat. Fill out the form and then they a glance at the boat or pieces and that's it. We kept livewells inside cab of truck. But, if your livewell is a cooler then that's what they think it is. Piece of cake.

It shouldn't matter if it's together. They just want to know where you last had it on the water, and they will look at what you have.

Just be sure you haven't had it on the Colorado river lakes or LA/San Diego lakes. :P

Hey Mitch
you mentioned them opening early for inspections. If they are opening early, what time do they close ? Was thinking about leaving Fri night.

I don't know if they close a gate, I don't think they do.
If you come in after they go home at the kiosk you would just need to go back out in the morning and get in line for the inspection.

EDIT> I just pinned a post with a form to print and fill out before you get there to speed things along

The inspections should not at all be too bad. They are in winter hours right now so I think the rangers leave at 5/30-6:00. They know it may be raining so your boat should be ok but do make sure your flippers, livewell, bilge, oars, and wadders are not at all wet. I would suggest keeping those items inside your vehicle.

Binh I will be going up Saturday morning and will most likely have room where I'm staying for you to satay. There are 4 of us now and we should be able to fit you in. Also Binh I think there will be about 20 plus guys to show up. Right now I count 20 and I believe there are more. It's going to be a good first event. I think you got my number so hit me up if needed.

Mitch I know 6:15 is probably close enough to safe light but my personal opinion is that 6:15 is going to be cutting real close for the guys showing up saturday morning, which is probably half of the people. The ranger had said there will be a couple of people doing inspections so hopefully it goes fairly quick, but that will depend on the amount of boats, which shouldn't be too many.

Can't wait see you all there next weekend.

Spoke to a lady there today and she said that they would be there about 6 to do inspections.
I'm planning on being there pretty early to be the first few in line.

5:30-6 is the usual time they are there. Usually just one girl. It's pretty easy inspection as Taylor said, I've been through it a bunch of times with my boat. With the kick boats shouldn't be much at all. The two other clubs are small clubs 15 boat..., I'm planning on being at the gate at 5.
