I went out there today and the weed growth is nuts! I'm just wondering if anyone has had any recent success and if so, what where you fishing with. I've never fished weeds like that before, so I was pretty out of my element. I did hook two really small fish on a senko. Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Chris

I don't fish the back lakes after the end of may due to the weeds. It's only been real bad the past couple of years.Try froggin or even flipping the weed edge.Other than that fish deep with plastics.

Fished the *first* back pond for the first (and only) time on 6/16...it was in the afternoon, and my buddy and I both double limited for 4 hours of fishing....I flipped senkos exclusively, with a semi dead stick technique...the bite definetly got better as evening approached....the fish were really tight to the bank...look for shade and cover, combined with a steep bank....thats what was working for me on that particular day.
