#18204, "Free trip aboard the"CAPTAIN HOOK""

Want to fish? Of course you do!! I have organized a FREE TRIP" on the "Captain Hook" party boat. This will be a full charter for only the Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass Club, this time. I'm working on organizing another trip to include both clubs.
The catch?? They only have room for 20 people,so you need to sign up as soon as you can. You need to have your "2004" club dues paid to be eligable for this trip. Then to sign up e-mail me at Imwelderdude@aol.com.
If we come up with more than 20 guys, then we will do a lottery to pick the 20 who get to go.After the 20 people are chosen then we will set the date.Once again...this is a FREE TRIP...so out of consideration for the captain of the boat and the deck-hand I request that we each tip $20.00,Not Bad 4 a day of Fishing?!! Sing up A.S.A.P
so we can set the date!!!!
Thanks
Jay Bryant " Welder Dude"

Hey Joe, Maybe the BnT's should get an albacore charter set up for this summer/fall. I know I'd be game for it.

That is a great idea. Albacore charters are on the pricey side though...usually around $150-160 per person on party boats, usually 14-16 anglers per trip. Smaller boats cost even more. The reason it costs so much is that they have to limit the number of anglers, have to buy live bait, and typically have to go out a long way to get to the fish.

I'll start putting away some money. }(
September is usually a good month to book one. We could go out of Santa Cruz. It's closer to most of the BnTers. I have most of everything I need for a trip like that except a trolling rod. But I may be able to borrow one... maybe.

I'd go on a trip for the Abies.

Like to get John Lake on the boat :)

The boat I used to go out on (no longer in business) supplied the appropriate rods/reels at no additional charge for those that need them. I have a rod and reel setup that I use with the live bait but those huge reels they use for trolling cost $$$$.

Last year tuna showed as early as mid-July, some trips in August were red hot. The season will typically last through October assuming the fish come close enough at all. Remember that they do not always come in close enough for the boats to go out.

Yeah, they only showed up off Fort Bragg for about a week and that was it. I think that was in late July - early August.
