Since ours (BnT) is a 2-day, maybe we could split the difference and do 1 day @ Naci and 1 day @ San Antonio. That would be a blast!

Let's do it. I would say let's just all fish Naci, operating as seperate clubs. But, we already have the word out for the tourney to be at San Antonio. I would hate for someone to show up and we not be there.

If your worries about the word getting out you could make a formal change on the forum and then call your members that plan to be there. Its your call but I think it would be cool to have you out there.

Operating as separate clubs would be the way to keep it simple as well

Well, I have an announcement on FKP.COM(formerly Floattuber.com) for this tourney. The site is new and probably doesn't have much traffic yet. Therefore, probably won't get anything from there. I'm the contact and no one has contacted me. I'm sure everyone else in our club would rather do Naci. I know I would because I usually do well there. Getting ahold of our guys would be easy. There's basically two main groups of us and we stay in contact. I'll talk to Jason tonight. How many guys do you think you'll have from your area?

We usually have about 15-20 show for our Naci event's in the past.

Jason is going to talk with the other members today. We need to make sure everything will be kosher as far as being legal. We did get hassled the last time we were there.

I spoke to Jason after Naci in nov.and just asked him to fax me the permit, he never did. I told him I would figuer out the issue with DFG there. I spoke to DFG as hign up the latter as you can get and figuered out the problem. There is no issue any longer and if that same warden is there and hassle's us, I would be happy to be the one to discuss the letter of the law with him.

I thought there might be a problem as far as our club not actually competing under BNT permits. If we are operating seperately and someone checks us there could be problems. From reading the aps for permits, it seems to be about competing for money and/or prizes. And in some cases for size limit exemptions. So, if our sign-up sheets are seperate and if by chance someone asks to see our paperwork... Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Jason straightened all that other stuff out. Not sure what transpired.

Since you guys are only fishing for 1 day you could fish under BNT permit,weigh in at our time on our scale and our rules. Jason and I would conduct the weigh in. You all could pay your own entry fee's normal N. Kern $$$$ and pay out at the end of day 1. This would give guys from your group the option to enter both events or just yours. This would also give BNT guys the option to fish both event's. Then after weigh in's myself and Jason could go through all that paid through Kern and present the payout.

Top dollar's if you wanted to stay for both day's would be BNT $20.00 to enter + $5.00 big fish option daily. Total for BNT only $30.00. N.K entry $20.00 to enter + $5.00 big fish option. If you want to step up and fish everything you would pay $55.00.

This would make thing's fun and interesting for sure.

The permits allows up to 50 people between the 2 of us we wont hit 50. We would have to do a joint event to operate under the BNT permit. You guys would have to change your permit to Naci if you wanted to do it separately.

I think the only significant difference in rules is the size limit, correct? Aren't you guys open mouth, swing, and 13"? I think that will be hard to get by some of our guys. I'm game for anything. I have enough confidence at that lake to be comfortable with it. Some of the other guys have a hard time getting a couple of 12"ers. As does everybody at one time or another. But that could end up being a deal breaker for some of our guys. Also, we've already changed our permits once for this month. From the 14th to the 28th. If I were the one in charge and my name was on the permits, I would make the call and change it. This may get a little too complicated. Nothing I couldn't handle. Getting together sounds like too much fun to not at least try and make it happen. But it's all going to come down to what the other guys think. Maybe you could call Jason and talk to him today. This way nothing will be lost in translation. His number is 661-204-5940.

Yes the only real rule change would be 12 vs. 13" and I must say going with a 12" rule is very risky, if DFG happens to be at weigh in's and someone has a short fish you will have some "REAL" issue's.

Also, North Kern doesn't allow kayaks...:-(

I had mentioned it before with no response. I would like to join force's it would be fun, so would Gordon's idea. But has I mentioned at the meeting, we wont be changing events unless its "has" to be done.

One day fishing is better than no day fishing :)
