Took the VV out for the first time to Chesbro, and the difference compared to my Blue Heron-8 is that the VV tracks better but the biggest difference was in the wieght of the oars. The VV oars are 6' compares to the BH 7' oars, each oar is at least a 1.5-lbs lighter making it less taxing when rowing all day. I'm real happy with this boat and am looking forward to using it every chance I get!
Now about the fishing. I caught my first(best) fish on a Rattle Trap it wieghed in at 3lbs, then a few more smaller ones on the trap and 5-inch swimbait. I only fished for about 3hrs and had to get back home. Caught a total of 5 fish.
Hey Jeff S, I didn't hear your message untill late Sunday, thanks for the invite, how bout a raincheck?

Ju got it, man, anytime! I might have gotten ahold of you sooner, but the number I had for you doesn't work anymore. I called Mitch to see if he had your new #, but by then I figured it was too late. Wanted to let you know I hadn't forgotten my original offer, though (from probably a *year* ago, by now?)!
We'll get there! It's just a matter of time...
Man, I haven't been out to Chesbro for a l-o-o-n-n-g-g time. Glad to hear there are fish to be caught out there! Congrat's on the break-in of your new rig. Given all the positive comments by all the other VV owners in the club, I'm sure you'll be very happy with your new setup.
Fish on, brah!
