got my first 2005 fishing off to a good started good. Hit fountaingrove for the 3rd time that week with dave and matt. The rain was off and on until we left, than it cleared up. I caught six fish all keepers, flippin, and on blades. it was nice fishing out of a new kickboat with a livewell and everything makes the fishing that much easier!

NICE!! :)

Way to go.. Carson

Got to love your new kickboat?

If like me when I first got my kickboat
Seem like every store I went into Target, Home Depot -
I look for something to add onto to the boat
:) Live well, Cup holder, ash tray, depth meter, bimimi top,
CD stereo system, microwave oven, air conditioning ect :P

Keep up the good work
Look forward in fishing with you this year.

JC

Nice fish Carson. I went out again on Friday and had a blast. Caught 14 all on blades. Went out for a couple of hours on Sunday but only got 4.

ya joe i know what you mean, im trying to get everything possible onto that thing, i cant wait for the tournaments to start and put it to some real work. Jdub i was flippin to the edge of the thick tules and flippin all over sparse tules. most of my fish came on the fall or one hop, i wasn't leaving it in there much longer, most of the time i would flip it in and see the tules shake and pull one out. good job out there again dave, you were all over that spinnerbait bite last week!

Bill, we carried the kickboats down, the gate wasn't open. Damn those things are a lot heavier than float tubes, but it's nice to stay higher and dryer. Carson, your flip fish were weak, plus you told me I wasn't going flip a fish from that tully point and I did, so what do you know. Just kidding. It was fun though, that water is still nice and clear. I stuck 5, two slow rolling blades, 3 flipping a jig. The fish weren't hammering the jig, just sucking it up. It was fun though.

Go big or go home.

dave whats this about catching 5? you said you lost your big fish at the end, that only makes 4, and you could have caught that one other one, but i caught it right behind you.

Hell ya they`re heavy, especially loaded down with tackle and such. The grove is the only place I know of that doesnt get washed out after continous storms, you can catch fish there all throughout the year.I havent hardly fished it since I got the pontoon but I went to the proshop and got one of those waterskeeter wheels so you push your pontoon like a wheelbarrow. You can get to the lake with all your gear in one trip and not be totally exhausted when you get there.I`ll probably go out there sunday and try it out hopefully it will work, for $25.00 its worth a shot.

The water color was clear to milky green. I caught my blade fish on gold blades with chartruese skirt. Slow roll it and kill it from time to time. Wish i could join you but work calls.
