Gate opens at 7:00AM, hope to see some others there. This will be my first time to show off my new boat and hopefully talk someone into telling me how to catch a fish. Because of my no bites no nada Thursday I bow to anyone with suggestions, instructions and a little education.

You want to meet @ 7 on wed morning? I know how to fish like a pro...Im just learning the catching part.

I do know Sonoma pretty well but feel I do need all the practicing I can get. My goal for this year is to place in at least 2 tournies so I really need time on the water. If you wanna meet me that would be cool.

I will be at Lake Sonoma, Yorty Creek, Saturday 2/5/05 about 7:00 AM when the gate is unlocked by Mr. Ranger.

Don't forget to leave your car unlockeddx(

A reminder again about the cut off date for pre-fishing this tournament is this Sunday. No more prefishing or putting your rig in the water. That way no one will take what your doing as braking the rules of the club.

William,
Just to be sure, is there a cutoff date for Lake Sonoma? I thought we could still prefish up to the nite before the tourney. At leaast it's true for big lakes ie, Clear Lake and the Delta. Is Sonoma exempt from that rule? Is this a new rule change or what? Please fill me in as I was going to do some fishing on Wednesday. Just want to clarify. Any response from SCBBBCer's would be appreciated.

I just read the SCBBBC rules, why is Sonoma not included along with other big bodies of water like Berryessa, Clear Lake or the Delta? It doesn't make any sense. Someone, anyone, fill me in.

I think its because Yordy creek fishs some what like a small lake. That is that although its larger than our small lakes, its narrow and long. Most anglers will not go out past the mouth of Yordy. So my guess is that people would be hammering the Yordy cove so hard the day before and that might make the fishing tougher and not as fun. This is just a guess from me. I think all lakes should have a cut off day a week before the tourney, but then I used to think round tubes ruled:+

Hey Terry,

Good to see you out there. I have some pics for you so remind me to get them to you.

Anyway, just wanted to say Rich is right on with his assessment of Sonoma. Since the majority of the lake is difficult to access, it has the rule in place. Yorty, Brush, the dam and marina are the only real access areas. On the other hand the Delta has literally thousands of areas to launch, Berryessa, 20+ and Clear probably close to 50+.

We're all just trying to make it as competitive along with fun for everybody. :-)

Besides, I need to have my 4-7 lbers saved for tourney day }(
