It's Beacon Harbor time, it should be a great event with lots of big springtime delta bass coming to the scales. :7
Check in: 5:30
Launch at: 6:00
Weigh in: 3:00
Just a side note Beacon Harbor for those of you that haven't heard have come under new management, the new harbormaster is Paul and he is a great guy. Lets make a good impression on them so we are able to continue to use their facilities in the future especially the Delta Open.
Directions:
From the Bay Area:
Take Highway 80 east to Highway 24 east.
Proceed to 680 north, continue on 4 east to Oakley,
turn left on Cypress Road. Left on Bethel Island Road,
right on Gateway Road, left on Piper Road, left on Willow Road.
Beacon is on the right.
From Sacramento and the San Joaquin Valley:
Take Interstate 5 South to Highway 4 west.
Follow 4 west to Oakley, turn right on Cypress Road.
Left on Bethel Island Road, right on Gateway Road,
left on Piper Road, left on Willow Road.
Beacon is on the right.
From San Jose:
Take 680 north from Milpitas/Fremont area.
Proceed north to 580 and exit east. Take Vasco Rd.
exit off 580 and turn north.
Proceed through Brentwood via Hwy. 4 and turn right
on Gateway Road,
left on Piper Road, left on Willow Road.
Beacon is on the right.

Hey guys I was out at Beacon yesterday and for you guys that were planning on sleeping in your trucks, they are going to want you to just park in the normal parking lot instead of across the street in the camping area. The campsites are still really water logged and so it isn't wise to drive a truck in there. I didnt ask about guys sleeping in tents but im sure they wont mind if ya put up tent at the main parking lot. cz

Mitch and I decided tonight that we will be collecting the $5 for launch at check in and then will turn it in to Beacon Harbor, to make it easier for them to keep track.
Jeff, If they don't let you pull the RV into the main parking area, you can always park it at Russo's just down the street. I'd give them a call though to make sure they have space, sugar barge also just down the street is basically an RV camp area, just a couple other options that might work so you dont have to drive up that morning.
I'll be up there during the day, but will be sleeping at home :P cz

yeah its one of the few places on the delta we fish where we have to pay to launch, sorry for not clarifying that in the check in post at the begining this is my first time, so I forgot a few things on the way. :7 cz
