#26976, "River's End"

I've heard you guys mention River's End a few times, I think? I noticed how close it was to the 580. Is this a decent place to put the VV in? And is there anywhere to sleep, either in my truck or a camp ground?

I'm just looking for things that are easy to find and decent fishing. I really enjoyed Beacon Harbor! I like the big 5 mph zone. And I liked all the different types of structure and fishing all in a pretty small area. Looking for other things like that, that are fairly close. Not that anything is close to me though :+

Hey Jake,Rivers end has a big 5mph zone(the 1st part is real narrow with houses/docks on either side). Then it opens up with a lot of current due to the pumps that catch all the hyacinth.I wouldn't kickboat around the wall where that is but you can go around the island and fish up into old river.I think that is pretty much a 5 zone as well. Also chipmonk cove:7 (from a previous post) is right before the wall starts. If you want to fish it it might be a good idea to do it from a boat 1st so you can see what is up.I would gladdly take ya any time. :)
Rivers end is just that, a dead end slough and at times will hold some good fish.(sring and fall)The marina is at the very end and can be a freakin zoo sometimes cause it's the closest launch to our area. You can also go out of tracy oasis or launch at fincke rd and tracy blvd by the bridge.Just watch how you park so as not to block the gate.
Hope this helps,Swampy

Like Swampy said Rivers end can be a cool place to fish at certain times. I have gone out of there a few times in a buddies boat and we always caught some fish around there. Personnally though I would just go to Middle River if I was planning on fishing out of a kickboat. It is real close to Rivers end, if you can't find directions to MR on a search of the site I can get'em to ya. If your planning on getting up here for some fun fishing make a post and maybe I can meet ya out there somewhere. :7

Cool thanks Chris! I've heard lots of good things about MR. I didn't know it was close to RE.
