Yeah, that list is kinda short. A lot of people have dropped out of the tube/kickboat scene. I wonder what it'd take to bring 'em back? I figured the Opens and Invite would each draw over a hundred anglers by now.
I'm packing as we speak. Should be out of town tomorrow morning around 10 or 11.

Yep I think buzzfish hit the nail on the head. I really want to go up and fish this event, but reality struck hard yesterday. I just started my new job about a month ago and finally have to support myself and I was doing the math last night and I just can't do this event at this time. I was totally planning on fishing, but it really came down to my personal financial situation and I just can't do it, it is not the entry fee, the camping(need to buy a tent), the gas to get there, its the whole package and what I'll have left for the rest of october if I don't do well at clear lake. I wish everyone the best up at clearlake and I know I am missing out on hanging out with the gang and the chance at some really cool raffle prizes, I have to say you guys have put together a real quality list of sponsors. Sorry I won't be able to make it, but I'll fish another tourney with you guys in the future(at least when you do your team delta event :7 ) cz

Let's see: approx. 400 miles roundtrip, @ 6mpg (66.67 gallons), @ $3+ per gallon. Geez, that's probably over $200 just for *gas*!!! Not to mention entry fees, food, camping fees, raffle tickets, minimal sleep, the tedium of the roadtrip, a hard couple of days on the water...I just couldn't muster the enthusiasm (getting too old for this stuff!). :+ But I'm really, really, really missing the camaraderie, good times, chance at some good fish, awesome raffle prizes, all that stuff.
I'm hoping next year is a whole different story.
Can't wait to see the results, though -- time for the BnT guys to take it to 'em! }( Let us know how it goes up there, real soon!

Me, I shot it to the wind and said to hell with it an drove 6 hours... Yeah about $200 in gas. Then there was camping fee, entry, food, raffle (which I limited myself), Lousy sleep on a crappy cot, and on Top of it all only caught one fish! Oh well I am learning...Just hurts every time I am going to the Wests "Bass Capital", I have the hardest time....I keep tellin my self "Time on the water", "Time on the water"...But the positive, its cool to hang out with you guys and support a sport that I love. Also it was cool to explore and see another part of the lake that I have never seen. Bryan
