has anyone got with the ranger yet at highland to be sure the gate is open by 5 a.m. on sat ? just an important thought... my number for william doesnt work anymore. dont know how to reach him....yo william call me. Deren

I just sent an email to William, SCBBBC President, here is his three responses I just received:

#1. I am waiting until tomorrow, because a time prior, he forgot when I called him two days a head of time. - James Wood 707-263-8380

#2. I just tried calling the phone # we've always had and it's disconnected. I will call the Department of Water Works tomorrow and get the new #

#3. Who normally we deal with for permits on that lake, she said he changed his phone # because he was getting a lot of calls on his cell phone, she's going to contact him, and have him call me directly.

Looks like he is now on top of it. Hopefully they will open or leave the gate open at 5:00 AM.

Message I just got from Willam Perez (SCBBBC President):

"I spoke with Alicia at County of Lake - Public Works Dept. again and she said she left a message on James's voicemail yesterday asking him to call me ASAP. At this point I haven't heard from him. My cell phone hasn't been turned off and there are no messages. She's left him another message, and she checked to make sure he's not scheduled to be out of town, which he isn't. ????? We did not need to file for a permit for this lake so it wasn't necessary to call him months in advance.

The last time I called him a week in advance, he forgot. Luckily Scott Beem ran into him and mentioned our tournament, and he said he completely forgot about it. Scott told me and I called him the day before. He just recently changed his phone # Alicia said, because he kept getting lots of calls at all hours of the day & night. She doesn't know how to get a hold of him any other way.

William just called and said he finally got ahold of Highland Springs and they WILL HAVE THE GATE OPEN BY 5:00 AM tomorrow November 19th for the first day of the SCBBBC TOC! :-)

Good luck to everyone and see you very hungry people at the hotel. Dinner about 5:00 but munchies before. I got so much food!
