#33382, ""Help in selecting a Pontoon?!?!?!""

Hello All,

I'm currently using a float tube but really want to upgrade to a pontoon. I mostly bass fish in lakes, reservoir and "The Delta". My budget is $300-$400. Also, I'm looking for a pontoon that can be upgraded (e.g. trolling motors, multiple rod holder, tackle boxes, live well). Please advice.

PS. Thank you in advance for all the helps and suggestions. This is a great and resourceful site. Thank you all again!!!

Wellcome to the forum, I would suggest that you check www.bassproshop.com and www.cabelas.com type in pontoon boat in the search box and you should see some kick boats in your price range.

Some boats are upgradeable, some have extra accesseries you can buy. Most of the guys on this board think of creative ways to make stuff, using PVC, glue, straps, velcro, zip-tyes, etc. Just takes a little imagination, good luck to you.

Check out the creek company boats they have some decent rides in that price range. You can always figure out a way to mod just about anything onto any kickboat. In my opinion the best one for putting all the crazy stuff onto is a versa vessel, but that is a little out of your price range but you would definetly like your boat and could put everything you could inmagine onto it. If you like to fish the delta you should come on out and join us for an event, it is always a good time and you can learn a lot about the kickboats by fishing with one of the clubs.

You might look through the photos on here for a few ideas. There are a lot of good Kicks in that $ range and they're all upgradable to 1 degree or another. Used can also be an option that you might want to explore.
Tight lines,
Wade

IFISH say's,

Welcome to the board mang. You should also check " Sportsmart " if you have one near you. They usually have sales and I've seen ODC's and creek companys on sale, and right around your price range. Good luck, and if you should happen to come up with about $1000 bucks, get a Versa Vessel. It'll be the ONLY boat you'll EVER need.
