#960, "Suggestion vote month of March"

OK people of the forum. We talked about the 2001 BNT’s opening tournament in February. It’s leaning towards a tournament down South. In which turns out in being a good start. Considering it gives our Southern tubers an opportunity of a shorter drive in checking out a BNT’s tournament. And in hope will continue to join us throughout the years to come.

Let’s have your suggestion on the following month of March.

Floatuber.com is holding there event at Berryessa in March 24-25 I spoke with Andy with SCBBBC he wants to join forces all 3 of us in March at Berryessa. It sounds good to me but there evnet is a 2 day event. We could just have a 1 day event in Feb. then 2 days in March?Or 2 days feb and march and may and oct.that might be to much for every one to handle.I would like a 2 day in march, may and oct?what do ya'll think?

As far as I'm concerned, we could have a two-day event every month. But I'm one of those people who only fish if they're alone or with someone. So put in one the schedule and I'll be there.

Steve

I like Steve's attitude " Show me the water" Sir dink here. First off I want to thank all of you for your support of the Floattuber website. It has been an overwhelming success due to fishermen like yourselves.

Secondly I would like to invite all of you to fish the 2 day event at Berryessa, March 24/25. The entry fee for the 2 day event is $80. based on 30 entries the pay out will be:

1st. $350 cash + rod/reel combo. 2nd $150 cash + R/R. 3rd $75 + reel. 4th $75 cash. 5th -7th get $50 cash 8th - 10 $50 certs 11th - 12th get $25 certs. There is a Big Fish pot built in with $75 cert + $3 cash per man going to the winner, 2nd Big Fish gets $25 cert + $2 per man.

We also will have an optional $5 winner $5 Blind draw partners.

I know that the $80 fee for the 2 day event in addition to your travel and lodging is a strech for some, that can't be helped. We have a group that is traveling from Southern California to be there and we would like to meet all of you.

If you want to use day ones results as your official club results for your yearly points we can make those results avaliable to your weigh masters. This year we will be useing a 40# Equlizer Scale, so the weigh-in will be accurate. We will be allowing tubes and kickboats with oars, and portaging provided you have an aireated live well and the DFG OK's it.

I hope that that helps with your decission to combine the clubs events. Now what about Lake Sanoma, April 21/22 Yea! more bass tubin'!

......per Andy at SCBBBC however they will not be scheduling an event that weekend so if any of there members want to join us they can. They will be having an event the weekend prior at Berryessa(I beleive). So this means I can help Sir Dink out in anyway you need me to.This would be officially a Floattuber.com event not a BNT event. There scale there fee's and payback there rules.I will take the weight and points for the event for the BNT members year end stats.

Sir Dink: Where are you launching out of?
Have you checked into permits? When you do ask about traveling from other parts of the lake.

John or anybody knows the reason of there decision of not joining in conjunction Floattuber.com 2001 in March?

Maybe will get lucky and some of the Sonoma Boy’s will turnover and fish the following weekend. ~ Fingers Crossed

I agree “Show me the water” this to me is all good. I like the idea of all the tubers getting together as one in fishing the monthly tournaments. I feel the two day theory gives me an opportunity to spend a weekend doing what I enjoy best ~ Spending time with fellow tubers in a friendly marks of competition and camaraderie. ~
My vote would suggest Lake Berryessa for the month of March.

I'm in for Berryessa also. It'd be great to have three groups of fishermen from different parts of the state participating.

Go for the Sonoma thing in April! That used to be my home lake. Can be absolutely awesome. I've had some great days (and nights) fishing the lake - where 3-4lbers are the rule. There's more than enough fish in the 5-10lb class to keep it interesting, also.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-12-00 AT 12:18 PM (PST)

I'll fish the BnT & floattuber.com combo events... like Berryessa & Sonoma. Maybe one of the central Cal events too. Anytime the BnT's do Clear Lake for 2 days, I'll be there... provided some other club is not hosting the weigh-in.

Variety is the name of my game next year. All waters - all species - all fun.

As far as I know SCBBBC will not be counting any of these tourny's for their points. I believe they'll have seperate events during those months and those from the club who want to participate will but again, it will not be an SCBBBC thing.

Just info for anyone who wants it!

Including the BNT Open in May at Clear? You mean to tell me SCBBBC will have there own event in May?BNT doest have another tournie in Oct. while SCBBBC holds there invite so BNT can give them a good turn out.If this is true its a sad thing!

This really depends on how the club will vote on this issue. The Invitational in Oct (as far as I know) has not counted as points for the club. Besides, we also have a club tourny in Oct. for points.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Sorry about all the confusion on this. Anywho, we won't know our SCBBBC schedule until early Feb, when the club votes on it. Right now, I'm hoping we vote to fish only one tournie in May, the 2-day Clear Lake event with Bass-n-Tubes. Seems like that will be the most practical route anyway, since we have to factor in Mothers' Day & Memorial Day. A lot of our folks sounded up for it @ the close of this season. Plus, I think everyone who fished with your club in October really enjoyed it.

As far as Sir Dink's schedule - I'm hoping we'll leave those dates open, so that those from our club who want to fish the 2-day events @ Berryessa & Sonoma can without adversely affecting their SCBBBC points standings. We'll probably have our separate SCBBBC tournies those months, which will be one-day affairs. Some of our folks would probably like to combine our tournies with Sir Dink's, but we have a number of ill-tempered old codgers like me who have families, jobs that demand OT, sore knees, etc. So - we'll try to get as many of our club members to Sir Dink's deals as we can, but we'll also probably be doing our own thing one to two weeks before each of his events.

This year, by the way, was the 1st time, to my knowledge, that we fished an October tournie (actually, it was September 30) along with the Invitational @ Clear Lake. Don't know if we'll do that again in 2001.

Todd & I won't really know what's happening until our 1st meeting of the year, which will happen in early Feb. We'll update you guys then. But - to repeat myself ad nauseam - hopefully our May tournie will coincide with your 2-day event @ Clear Lake, & we'll leave the Tubby Tuber Berryessa & Sonoma weekends open to maximize our participation.
