Hmmm, predictions. Greg Ross is the favorite for sure favorite. I haven't heard of anyone on the fish quite like him. I predict it'll take right around 13 lbs to win it, but only 10 people will get a fish over 5lbs. What else? I predict I'll be real tired when I get home Saturday night after fishing WON Bass tourney the next day :)
I'm also just totally over fishing tournaments in my 15' jon boat with a 15hp motor. It's a joke. I can't run the lake and compete. There's also a safety issue if I got a VTO who is overweight or not someone who spends time on the water. If we get in to big weather on the main body at Pedro I wouldn't want to put someone through that. The Casitas event was bad enough, and I was fortunate to have a VTO who fished a lot and had good raingear.

Greg Ross for sure but I am rooting for other Calfishing alums like Nico, and Urban. A 12+ pounder is going to win it and I think there will be quite a few over 10 caught The timing could not be better for this one with the weather being stable and warm, should be fun. I wish my anniversary was not on the 12th as I would have loved to VTO again.

Gotta agree with Nico's assessment that only about 10 people will get a bass over 5lbs. Most of the field is going to go home at the end of the day wondering where the supposed good swimbait fishing at Don Pedro is :)

Based upon Rob posting his setups for HBC-1, I think it would be interesting to find out (after the event) how the various calfishing.com alums approached the tournament. What baits/setups did you use and maybe why you made those selections.
If you guys have the time I think it would be of interest to others. I don't know anything about Don Pedro so I'm not looking for specific locations etc. I'm more interested in your general game plan, how you decided on your game plan and any changes you made during the event.

Rob, Congratulations to you and Summer with a good looking addition to your family. I think its a good choice to not go and be with your wife and son. Your life will change more now than you ever imagine. It wont be long and he will be fishing with you. Good luck on the water this year
