Anyone know what the tides are going to be Sunday at Beacon Harbor?

Looks like this
High tide 2.41 am 3ft
low tide 7.51 am 1.6ft
high tide 1.21pm 3.1ft
Should be good for some delta hogs!}(

Not sure how to read that x(

Does it mean that the outgoing tide will be at it's lowest @ around 7:50 and it will drop 1.6 ft from the earlier high tide? Then...as the tide comes back in the water will rise 3 ft being at it's highest of the tournie @ around 1:20?

Sorry, I just don't fully understand how the tides work yet. :-(

I do not know what the numbers meen for sure but the times are the time at which the tide tops and bottoms out. Do not woory too much about the tide other than to pay attention what direction the current is moving. Remember it is not rocket science, they are just stupid green fish :)

according to these numbers it is going to fluctuate 1.4ft. on the high to low and then go back up 1.5ft to the high. It is really hard to tell how much vertical up and down the water will be cause of so many other variables, I dont really understand it, but it does tell ya which way the water will be flowing and when they will have more water over their heads and when they won't.

Another thing that the height numbers tell you is how strong the current is likely to be. If there is a big difference in the high to low numbers and vice versa, then there will be more water level fluctuation in the same amount of time resulting in a faster current flow. A "swing" of only 1.5 feet won't create a ripping current like a 5 or 6 foot swing will. Also like Zink says there are a lot of other factors like wind that will influence how fast and how high the tide actually goes. That might all be BS but it sounds good, doesn't it? :+ .
