O.K. I'm thinking of getting a new kickboat, but I'm on a budget. I really want a VV but I can't spend over $400. I'm looking at a boat at BPS, the Blue Heron 9. It says it's made by Outcast. With the features listed I think it's probably the best I can get for my money. Any suggestions, for or against? I would really appreciate any feedback on this. Here's the specs:

If you click on the search button, then click on advanced search, then select the "and" option and put in the keyworks blue heron kickboat, you'll come up with a bunch of posts with similar questions. Here's a few to check out:

Thanks Rob. Actually I've already searched and read 2 of those. The problem is that everyone makes reference to the VV. I understand this is a good boat, but a budget is a budget. I know this model of heron is newer and I was hoping someone with some experience would have a definite opinion on one. It does seem pretty clear that most of the guys that own herons or outcast boats are pretty happy with them. Thanks again!

Woodsac, I have owned the Blue Heron Eight for the past two years and have been happy with it totally, It's held up so far perfectly. It cost me $4oo.oo from BPS, and thats for the 8-footer, I use it most weekends and fish our tourneys with it. I also use a trolling motor with it on some occasions. One of the things I really like about it is the Aluminum frame whitch is strong and LIGHT! making it easyer to transport. I would say buy it, for the $$$ you cant go wrong. Dave M.
