I am fishing for smallmouth in 20' to 50' of water and wanted to get your opinion/recommendations on which swimbaits to buy.The lake gets carolina rigged all the time and wanted to show them something different.The forage is; Alewife,Golden Shiner,Rainbow Smelt,
Blueback Herring,Yellow Perch,and White Perch.The smallmouth seem to favor the Rainbow Smelt and the Yellow Perch.The lake is rocky with grass (3" to 5") off the bottom which seems to be sparse.I have been catching smallmouth there c-rigging lizards but everyone is throwing them!I will be fishing this lake in the fall when they are deep.
