I talked to one of the park rangers today on the phone. He said basically they are ok if you tube in Salsipuedes, Marina Cove, and Swimming Pool cove aka Murphy's bay. He said if you are outside of those areas you are supposed to stay close to the shore. First he said 250 feet but then he said 50 feet. There was definitely some confusion about what the "rules" were exactly. I basically told him we would be down there this weekend and that we would be crossing the lake occasionally. He said their main concern was that we stay ou of the way of the boats. I told him we would be courteous and stay reasonably close to the shore while we fished. He was fine with that and I got the feeling that we wouldn't have any problems.
