I agree with Phil. A float tube is definately the way to go. I live in Modesto and have fished the resevior only once. It looked like great water but I got blanked. Its cool to know that there are fish in there to be had. Maybe I will try it again when I stop catching fish in the Delta. (as if thats gonna happen) Anyway, thanks for the post and let us know if you continue to catch fish there. I for one, am real interested in hearing how you do!!!!!!

By the way, I fished in a small club tourney this weekend in the Delta. It was a tough bite but I ended up with 4 keepers to 3lbs for 5th place. First place went to a 12lb sack. My weight was 9 and some change. I had a great time with a excellent bunch of guys. Thank you Diablo Hawg Hunters for a nice day on the water.
