Yes, I'm using (or will use) St Croix rods for drop-shotting. I just bought two St Croix rods, one is 7' Medium Light, Moderate-Fast action, 4-10lb rating spinning rod that I plan on using for drop shotting. Haven't used it yet, but after spending a lot of time researching different rods, including some of the custom rod makers and Loomis, I found that St Croix's Premier ($90) and Avid ($120) rods are a great value for what you pay.
