I decided that I would fish this place again after a few slow, windy, and pretty much lame days last year. First cast my rod doubles over after soaking powerbait for about 10 minutes, dang it, i farmed that guy. Soak bait for a while longer and cast out again after getting some new bait on, and somethings weird. It feels weird on the fall, so i mess around with the line and my instincts made me swing on her. I landed a 17" steelhead on that one. Turned out to have roe in her, oh well, cant tell from the outside, least on this guy. Stayed slow the rest of the day, and we each (3 in the group) ended with 1, two of which were steelheads, and one nice 16.5" rainbow. I had bigfish, so collecting a few bucks was nice. Its amazing the fight these natives have compared to the stockers, and oh the colors! Unfortunatly, mine didnt fight very hard for some reason, but it was fun. All fish caught on rainbow powerbait.
