Whale Rock is immediately east of Cayucos, Ca. Cayucos is a little beach town just north of Morro Bay. It's my favorite beach town along the central coast but I've never tried the fishing at Whale Rock Reservoir. Maybe I'll give it a try next time we head over to the coast to escape the Bakersfield heat.
