fished the 3/4 day pierpoint on thursday with my bro. wide open calicos on beautifully sized anchovies on fly-line make for a great fishing trip. most sacks on the boat were full of calicos. plus 2 log sized slimers and a 24" butt that took jackpot, none of which were caught by me, were the day's total. my count 8 calicos, 1 sandy and 1 short butt (released of course). the day was topped off by the delicious cuisine catered by the boat's chef, marky. he must be the greatest fishing boat chef that ever sailed the seas. he's got some killer cheese burgers. saw the new "pierpoint" that'll be commissioned next month as the new 3/4 day boat. looks pretty nice. met the founding father of 544 lures. all in all, a great day.
