Late report from the half-day yesterday. I went on the morning run, Jason was driving and Chaz was deckhand. There was a big group from Minnesota on the boat and a mom with a few kids. All rent rods except Mark Melindez (sp?) and I. We fished some miscellaneous stones east of the One Mile. I threw 5" Big Hammer swimbaits all day and never soaked a bait. 3 of my first 4 casts resulted in legal sandbass on the Silver Sardine color. After a hot start things cooled off some and got pretty tough by the end of the day. We worked away at them, drifting and anchoring, but there was no wind and no current so it was a little tough. I wound up with 3 legal sandbass, 2 short sandbass, 1 sculpin, 1 johnny bass, and 4 short ling cod. Weather was nice with a little bit of a bumpy swell. Final count was 36 rockfish, 17 sand bass, 9 sculpin, and 3 sheepshead for 13 people.
