Yes it is true, lizard fish are good baits for halibut,WSB and more.
As long as you keep them moving and off the very bottom cuz they chill and blend in w/the sand like but's do
My dad got a nice 40# WSB off of fly-lining an 8" lizardfish!!!
Their not my coice of bait but if thats all you have go for it.
