Yeah, I have been putting a little time on the water. Glad you like the reports. They are just copied from my fishing log. I’m hoping to see a trend and learn something from it, but if I don’t, at least it's kind of cool reading stuff like, on 9-9-01 I caught a bunch of small mouth bass at red rock throwing top water poppers. I’ll keep posting stuff until Rob tells me to stop, or I get bored, or heaven forbid Flamed

I started Fly Fishing this year. it’s a real love hate deal. I’m digging learning how to cast, meeting people, tying the flies, and catching/Landing fish on a fly rod is a kick!! my best this year is an 18” Corbina on my 5wt. Almost as much fun as Tuna fishing, and its right in my back yard.

The hate part is my learning curve, I know I would produce I higher catch rate throwing plastics soaked in sauce. I have even started carrying my spinning gear in the truck. But once I get to the beach, the long rod calls…..

I think the hardest part is staying in contact with the fly during the retrieve, it’s really hard to feel the fish pick up the fly. Oh Well enough of my whining… Grin
