#10436, "New Pics: Deps Highsider"

When you see the Deps Highsider sitting behind the glass at your favorite tackle store you are going to want to walk out with the bass and the bluegill pattern in your bag. Deps has really figured out the ultra-realistic finish in these patterns.

I bought the bass, and am happy to report that the lure looks good in the water and out. This is a pure wake bait. It's very light at 2.4oz. You can crank it down a little, but the natural action is right up on top. It's a soft, snake-like action on the surface - and it generates a good amount of wake. My lure swam perfectly true out of the package.

The hardware looks good - very sharp hooks and solid looking split rings. I could go for a black hook to match the black tail feather on the bass pattern, but that's nit picking.

I'd expect to catch many fish per bait, and $46 is not too out there on price. The trout pattern is a little surreal with the blue on the belly and the bright green tail feather, but I think you could still do some damage with it say up at Shasta or Oroville. This is a solid bait.
