So Huddleston just posted a video on their site showing off the upcoming weedless 6 inch huddleston. It's an interesting design, most similar to the LA Slider, except a lot more sneaky. At first glance I'd say..
Pros: * Pre-rigged delivery means I don't have to spend an hour the night before sizing up different hooks and weights the night before (i.e. Basstrix) * Internal harness should make sure the bait swims perfectly upright * Stationary jig hook design should prevent the plastic from sliding down the hook and interfering with hooksets. * Internal weights should gives plausibility of a faster sinking bait without external lead showing. * Did I mention it's sneaky looking?
Cons: * Where's the 8 inch model? Actually I think this would be a terrible design on the 8 inch bait. The lure is so heavy the fish could throw the single jig hook far too easily. * Completely hiding the jig hook probably will reduce the number of fish hooked by a small margin. In general, I expect I'd prefer to catch those fish, even if it means cleaning weeds off my bait every once in a while.
