Hard to beat an MS Slammer for lasting performance :-) Any wood bait like the slammer, ac plug, ac minnow etc. are going to pretty much last forever unless you throw it at a rock and crack the bill or something. The plastic baits such as the osprey, generic swimbait, eagle, mission fish etc. will all get torn up after a few fish no matter what, but there are a few upgrades that can prolong their lifespan a little bit. If you're looking for bang for your buck as far as endurance, definitely buy a wood bait of some type over a plastic one. Most folks will tell ya that the slammer is the best wood bait out there, and I'd be one of em...
