Buzzfish,
Sorry I couldn't make it over the hill to fish with you. After I fruitlessly spent 1/2 the AM on the phone with the IRS :o because of my Ex x(, I finally went to Coyote about 11am. It's way down and dropping fast. It's dropped atleast 3 feet since Thursday. I kicked (because I forgot my oars x( ) straight across from the launch and got out. I walked up 2 dinks on the Drop-Shot and found a bunch of tackle :-) , including a mud caked spinning rod and reel :-) , and 6 jigs :D . After walking & fishing as far as I cared to in my waders, I got back into my kick and drifted towards the So. end with the strong winds. Throwing one of the jigs I found with a Double Wide Beaver for a trailer, I caught a 4.25# }( on the edge of some baseball sized gravel. http://www.calfishing.com/dc/user_files/2943.jpg
Then I got a 3.5# :D on a snag way out in the middle of the So. end.

I took some pictures of the exposed shoreline and called it a day just in time to kick back against an even stronger wind and get out at slightly after sundown. When I got out I found a #13 Davenport anchor, :D which is the exact size I had planned on getting for my aluminum boat.
Tight lines,
Wade

PS: Needless to say my day went from very bad (all accounts froven) to much better. Oh and I got my funds un-frozen this AM :D and after washing, disassembling, more cleaning, oiling and putting back together the spinning reel works passably well for a loner rod, except it needs a knob for the handle.

PSS: I have more pics, but can't get them small enough.

Edit: All Bass were released, along with some of the tackle I found by way of snagging it up too. I still walked away with over 20 peices of tackle. 8)
