I use lead most of the time FIT. I really like the Tungsten, it is smaller and transmits the feel of the bottom way better, but I have decided after quite a few break offs that I will only spend the money on Tungsten for the big penetrator weights for punching. I'm less likely to break off when punching hyacinth or matted tules and so I'm not as concerned with loosing a 3-5 dollar weight. When tossing t rigged plastics on the levee walls though I will never throw tungsten, a buck or two for every 1/4 or 3/8oz weight sucks when I regularly break off in the rocks numerous times a day, the price of a hook is already too much even when ya buy the 25 packs.
If you see me leaning over my kickboat with half my shoulder underneath the hyacinth that is because I am trying to get another 1oz penatrator unstuck from the rocks. I call it the "hyacinth dip" and yes you will feel like the victor when you move the right rock and your 5 dollar weight comes back to you. :+ cz
