This isn't rocket science but it's a good way to get yourself some really big zipper style worms which are otherwise hard to come by. Check it out:

Rob: I noticed you used Super Glue gel. Have you tried this glue: http://www.prosoftbaitglue.com/faq.html ?

I copied their FAQ's because of the info included.

I have the glue and it scares me :o It's so liquid that it starts to run all over the place and then if you so much as touch it for a split second, your hand will be terribly glued to whatever you just touched. It is good glue, it's just hard to work with. Super glue gel I like because it's easier to control.

Rob, I've been welding baits together by using a lighter to melt both ends I'm joining and then lightly pressing together until the molten plastic sets. Seems to hold up well.

I've done the melt method and it works well unless the plastic catches on fire, then it stinks something awful and I don't have any confidence that a Bass would eat it even slathered in scent. Does the glue ever seem to turn fish away?
Tight lines,
Wade

Wade, good point about catching the plastic on fire. I forgot to mention that I heat it just enough to melt not ignite. I think that stuff is kinda toxic when it burn too, lol.

Ok you rookies J/K What's up David. Missed saying hi to you at the WB. That fog was a b tch. We crawled in w/ our GPS, but freaked crossing channels. I don't think a boat our size is picked up on radar!!!

I gave up the glue thing. Now I use a heated tip of a butter knife(make it really hot). You just need to touch the bait lightly to melt the plastic and press together. Also works great to fix torn baits, saves lots of baits.

Don
