This is a good question for those of us who live on the central coast or Southern Cal. We see drought type conditions one year that draws the lake way down, then after a number of big rain storms, after getting to that saturation point the lakes start to rise rapidly filling in those areas that were high and dry for over a year (some times longer). So I have a question, How long after a rise like we have had in the last week or so do the bass start moving shallower?
Does it depend more on Water temps? I believe Casitas is in the mid 50's. Or with all the new structure and forage do they just start moving up right away?
Thanks, Bryan To fish is to live!

Is it safe to say that as the water rises the bait moves up immediately? The bait moving up as the water rises will dictate what the bass will do? Right? Wrong? Thank you
Just trying to learn guys

I am hoping to research this further this weekend. I will be at Casitas Prefishing Saturday & Cal Fed Event Sunday. I am a nonboater hitchin a ride on Saturday, but I am hoping to give the shallow flooded areas a try. Weedless swimbaits, senkos, jigs, maybe even the spinnerbait.....Weather is suppose to be pretty nasty on Sunday....so we will see!
