#17362, "Where to go Saturday?"

I am getting my gear ready for Saturday and I can't make up my mind on where to go fishing. Folsom, Pardee, Berryessa, Delta???? Any of you guys have a suggestion for me? Looking for a donkey, the weather looks promising, too many options...........

I realize I am overthinking things, but I have lost some of my fishing mojo. Not catching a bass since November will do that to a guy.

Lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what have-yous

I don't know whats going on with the bass. I fished a private pond today and got nothing. This pond is usually awesome. Can't seem to figure them out. Find out where the warmest water is with the least amount of fluctuation and you might be alright.

Try Berryessa. I never fish there myself but it kicks out big ones this time of year, usually on jigs. Haven't heard anything about Pardee but it seems to bite better on bad weather so that could be good too.

I'll be at Pedro, chucking a Hudd all day again hoping for a bite. Man our foothill lakes are slow this winter.

I hit Pardee up, and I broke my bass-less streak. Caught one smallmouth and lost another both on a DD22. Saw plenty of fish in 2-8 feet of water but none wanted to play. My trout streak continues as well, four trips out four trout.

Lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what have-yous

"Not catching a bass since November will do that to a guy."

I can vouch for that partner...I cant remember the last largemouth ive caught!!! I know for sure none this year yet despite the few trips ive taken with bass as my target. By this time last year I had a ton of fish. But anyways man, go where your heart tells you to go. If you are still indecisive, put all those lake names in a hat and pick one. If the first one isnt the lake you really want to go to, then your heart is telling you something, it really does know where it wants to go :D

Good luck...and I just realized its monday (im usually off sat and sun, but had to work and got today and tomorrow off)

Id rather be fishin!

Ended up at McClure rather than Pedro on Sat. Had two hits on a weedless Hudd but didn't connect with either one. About 3PM I put down the swimbaits and picked up a jig. Caught 15 fish in about an hour and a half in 40 feet. Best fish was about a 2lb black.
