I said it a few weeks ago

"During the week between April 21st and 25th, the seabass are going to bite really good."

Sure enough, limits for boat at the Channel Islands and at Catalina today.

Cat Special had 27 fish, Pacific Star 28 fish, Hueneme had 12 fish. They're on and tomorrow should be good too. Weekend could be tuff though!

Year after year the few days befor the full moon in the spring time months almost always sees really good seabass fishing. Something to keep an eye out for when planning your trips.

I don't think it's grunion as much as the seabass themselve moving up to spawn, I could be wrong but they are pretty keyed on the squid as well. The full or new moon also has a lot more water moving, gets the critters in a chewing mode.

next time they're going to be 'WIDE' is around may 12 so keep ur eyes WIDE open. :)
