I'm planning on hitting the kelp off Dana Point this Sat. morning. Launch (Mother's Beach) around 4:30 or 5am, back in by noon.

Anyone want to join me?

I'll join you if La Jolla is still dead.

But I ain't gonna paddle all the way from baby beach, and get all sandy :P

If I go I'll leave 5am'ish channel 69 or 71.

I'll be fishing out of DP on Saturday in the Golden Checkers Calico Tournament. Look for us in a 17' Whaler. My call you guy on the radio to see how you're doing.

QM: I can't afford the launch ramp, so I'm stuck w/ the baby beach. Besides i thought you liked to paddle?

JP: Good Luck in the tourney. Let's hit Newport soon.

To both of you: I'll be the big guy in the "Yellow Submarine". In other words, look for the yellow Tourer. I have no VHF so, don't expect too many calls from me.

...my wife is back on modified bedrest. So, I'm going to fish Newport Harbor very early. Aiming for a 3am launch, out by 8am.
