#5165, "Generic Trout Hardbait vs. Live Trout Hardbait?"

Just out of curiosity, for those of you that have fished both (or at least know a bit about both), which one would you get/keep if you could only have one, and why? Also, which of the 3? colors would you choose?

thanks,
nate

The baits are pretty similar. The live trout dives a little deeper and kicks a little harder side to side. The live trout also has more head wobble, and the nose of the bait looks like it's darting back and forth as it swims.

Is one better than the other? I don't really know. Both baits are good trolling baits for sure. If I was casting only, I'd probably get the live trout vs. the original. Neither one has really lit up the fish for me, but I have hooked big fish on both; a 13-7 on the original and a likely double digit on the live trout that I wound up losing.

Colors - I'd say pick whatever you think looks good to you. The 12" original bait that is pictured on tacklewarehouse.com looks nice to me color wise.
