#10417, "New Pics: Tru-Tungsten Bluegill and Tilapia"
The Tru-Tungsten Bluegill has been out for a few months now. I've been playing around with my bait here and there and would have to say - not bad!
My out of the box impression was not so strong, after noticing that the tail section of my lure was not attached in a straight line with the rest of the body. I expected (in all honesty) that the lure would not run straight.
It did however swim just fine, both with the weights and without the weights. Action is a subjective thing, but the lure moves with passable fish-like motion, and the level of detail is excellent. I am especially impressed with the paint jobs which appear to reflect the fact that whoever painted these took the time to look at real actual live bluegill. So many lures are painted in an "artist's rendition" fashion, so it's nice to see some more fishy patterns.
The lure does not run very deep, even with all the weights, but as a surface to mid-depth bait it performs well. Feedback has been good also, with photos showing up in FLW Magazine and Clark Rheem catching a fish on the bait at Amistad on video (see bassmaster.com).
If you happen to own one of these and have the time, I'd love to hear your review feedback. The link is below.
